Llynyfan Fach Lake

 Built during the Great War initially using up to 200 Irish Labourers, subsequently by drafted Conscientious Objectors, the dam cost £36,000, with associated 25 mile pipework, The Llanon supply reservoir (near Llanelli) and buildings costing £214,000.

With a depth of 29m (90 feet), the 25 acre lake holds 818,000 m3 (176 million gallons) when full. Contained by a clay, earth and concrete embankment the natural level is raised by 3 m (10 feet).
