Tyr Allen

The  reinforced outer face of the meander bank at Tyr Allen. This moved a total of 350 m between 1975 and 1998, 300 m since it was  reinforced in 1986. The latter comprised of plastic sheeting and 5 tonne boulders. The river cut behind the boulders in the first flood - a few are still ensitu and clearly visible in middle of the channel, centre right.
