Teifi Trout Association
The Association has 24 miles on the lower and middle river, divided into 5 beats, a stretch on the Cych and one on the Ceri. Visitors are welcome. Membership Enquiries through The TTA extends a warm welcome to all those who want to experience one of the finest game fishing rivers in Britain. Our water, some 24 miles of it, is located on the lower reaches of the River Teifi from Llechryd Bridge (near Cardigan) up to Henllan, and anglers fishing with us have the advantage of fishing for salmon and sea-trout straight off tidal waters. Catching game-fish is never easy but the excitement of hooking fresh run silver fish just off the tide is something that the TTA water can give you in full. Fly fishing, worming and spinning are all allowed and this variety of methods means that the river can be fished at all water levels. For instance in clear water conditions you could try night fly fishing for sea-trout, probably the most exciting of all game-fish, and in flood water try concentrating you skills on worming for salmon, they will surely test your skill and sometimes your endurance. The tributary rivers Ceri and Cych provide additional fishing for brown trout and sea trout enthusiasts. All waters have signs indicating the start and end of beats and the Maps section of this web-site shows all TTA fishing areas. Day, weekly and season permits are available as shown on the Fees section of this web-site. Access to pools and runs throughout are sympathetically maintained by the bank clearance team, ensuring maximum utilisation of the river, and fishing platforms that allow wheelchair access are provided, with convenient car parking close by. Add to all this the fact the area lends itself to family holidays, with fine beaches, excellent walking, cycling and riding country and lots of enjoyable things to see and do and you have every thing an angler could wish for that perfect fishing location. Plus a very warm and hospitable welcome. We look forward to meeting you- An Invitation to Visiting Anglers Visiting anglers, including novices, are invited as permit holders for the full season or for shorter periods Come and join us you will be very welcome.
