Allt y Golau Farmhouse Holidays Felingwm Uchaf, Carmarthen Situated in an uplifting landscape with panoramic views over the Towy Valley and beyond to the dramatic Black Mountains, our Georgian stone walled farmhouse has been furnished and decorated to a very high standard. The house is fully centrally heated and double glazed and offers a choice of double and twin bedded rooms with tea/coffee facilities, and a visitors lounge with colour television. Freezer facilities are available.
Relax over a sumptious breakfast (featured in "The Red Book: Eat well in Wales") which relies on home baking and local traditional products.
Restore your spirits in the mature and tranquil gardens (the orchards are carpetted by snowdrops, wild daffodils and bluebells in the spring) of approx two acres. Enjoy the company of our Brecon Buff geese, Welsh Harlequin ducks, free-range hens, and (during the autumn and winter) our free-range Norfolk Bronze turkeys. Walk to the local inn which, with other excellent restaurants within a five minute drive, offers a choice of dining in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Within a couple of minutes drive you can be swimming in a heated indoor swimming pool, or relax in a jacuzzi. The historic market towns of Carmarthen and Llandeilo are within nine miles and offer a variety of shops, inns and restaurants. The area offers excellent walking (maps and details of walks are available on request), fishing, horse riding, golf and bird-watching (the rare Red Kite frequently soars over Allt-y-golau). Many craft workshops (including a pottery within a hundred metres) and heritage sites are within easy reach. Oakwood, Grove Land and Folly Farm Leisure Parks, Middleton Hall (the National Botanic Garden of Wales), Aberglasney gardens, Pembrey Country Park, the Gower Peninsula and the beautiful Pembrokeshire coast are all within a forty-five minute drive.
The first floor lounge (with breathtaking views) is equipped with colour TV, radio, books and games. A wide selection of brochures and books on places of interest is available and extra information readily available on request.

Private bathrooms are available. The house is suitable for wheelchair users who can walk a few paces. Pets are welcome (however, please discuss requirements by phone before booking).
