The river Towy meanders through the spectacular Towy Valley passing Carmarthen wending its way to the sea. The village of Capel Dewi is four miles east of Carmarthen where Capel Dewi Uchaf Farm has been situated for well over 500 years on the south bank of the river amid wonderful views of the Valley. Salmon and Sewin find their way to the weir/holding pool alongside the farmhouse where they rest awhile before returning upstream to their spawning grounds.

Our farmhouse has been restored to reflect a romantic bygone time where you can relax in comfort in the house or garden. Fishing widows can catch up on reading, relaxing and enjoying the spoils of their fishing partners. A gentle walk down to the river to show a passing interest in the day’s sporrt may find you sitting on the bank enjoying the peace and beauty that Wales has to offer. You will be pleasantly surprised by the ‘secret’ hideaway we have to share with you.
