The Taf

The Taf rises in the Prescelli Hills near the village of Crymych, with the sources of the rivers Eastern Cleddau and Nevern nearby. Similar in size to the river Cothi, the river flows swiftly out of the hills and is mainly a lowland stream. The seatrout are large and like the Towy, the fish run from March onwards. Once famed for its Spring salmon, the Taf still supports modest runs of fish.
