Carmarthenshire
Fly Life
We have set up a
'kick sampling' project on the rivers of
Carmarthenshire which hopefully, will increase the knowledge and latest
situation regarding invertebrates etc. in our rivers and streams.
The CFF will be collecting and monitoring on the
rivers and streams while the Environment Agency will
evaluate our findings and steer us to the relevant localities etc.
We originally created 5 teams and the training under the
EAW Biologist began in June
2006.
The scheme is coordinated by Environment Agency Wales
together with CFF's Brian Jones and
Gethyn Thomas.

We may need to be recruiting further teams later and also we are always looking
for volunteers to help with other work on the river banks of our county, we are
working closely with the Environment Agency on all matters regarding improving
our rivers and any help is appreciated, you can also become a full member of the
CFF and attend meetings and vote on some of the initiatives arising from time to
time.
Get involved!
Make a
difference.
Don't just talk
about it!
