CCW Consultation closing on 11th Jan 2011

The canoeists' website is often the most reliable and sometimes the only source of information relating to fisheries matters.  Today 7/12 , is no exception.
There is nothing apparently new today on CCW's website or any news from EAW - yet the canoeists have announced a new CCW Consultation on water recreation hidden away at

As a fishery owner, I have many  concerns about  socalled 'water recreation' and reservations about the content of this document to which EAW must surely also have had some input.

On a lighter note,  the following extract from CCW's  advice may lead to  some interesting reactions  by landowners etc at the sight of riparian rear ends!!

Human waste can pollute rivers and lakes; ideally, go before you set off or pack out your waste. If you find that you have to go, make sure you are at least 30 meters away from water and bury your excrement in a hole at least 6 inches (15cm) deep.

Poor CCW - they can't even spell properly !!!

Oh sorry I forgot !!   Be careful !! Anyone criticising or commenting  on anything to do  with 'other water users' could be perceived by CCW as, quote,  'belligerent, threatening and problematical'..................
