The opportunity to catch some fishes and have some amazing time fishing with your friends and loved ones is one of the most inspiring and amazing feeling anyone could really feel. That’s why Carmarthen is calling everyone to be a part of the step up against aquatic life preservation movement. It is dedicated to help raise awareness to all people, young and adults, to help preserve the goodness and clearness of the Carmarthen water for all the fishes to live. Together, the people of Carmarthen built a foundation called “Carmarthenshire Rivers Trust”. It is a charity formed in July 2007 under the umbrella organisation of the Association of Rivers Trusts. The formation of the Trust reflects the growing concern about the environment and the need to halt the deterioration in the fisheries and also to promote improvements in habitats and wildlife associated with the aquatic environment in Carmarthenshire.
The key purpose of the Trust is working for public benefit. We aim to involve the community in improving the environment for their enjoyment and to encourage outdoor recreation and tourism which is increasingly important for rural prosperity. This is directly aims to promote the conservation, protection, and rehabilitation of the habitats, and indigenous species of plants and animals, associated with the rivers, streams, still waters and adjacent areas of catchment land in the County of Carmarthenshire and thereby enhance the county’s biodiversity.
And the overall aim for this organization is to restore the rivers and wetlands of Carmarthenshire to their former glory simply by improving the aquatic environment, stock conservation and management, and enhancing community benefits. Help preserve aquatic life in Carmarthen. Start making great changes in small things and continue to give respect to all living things around us, from land to the water. They are part of our lives and we should protect them for the next generation to come.
